Hormone levels are ok - especially the one that controls milk supply, it is really good - I have been doing everything right, have tried just about everything to boost milk supply. And yet I still don't have enough milk.
My doctor is puzzled and even looked up Dr Google while I was there LOL. The only thing he can think of, is that I don't have enough receptors in my breasts - or something - they just ain't gettin the message! Nothing I can do about it.
I am sad, but also relieved that I have, sort of, got a reason for the low supply. I had hoped to go in there - Doc say 'yes, this hormone is low, take these tablets and you will have overflowing boobs by the end of the day'... well we can dream can't we?!?
4 week check - Jaida is 'perfect'. On the doctor's scales, Jaida was 4kgs fully clothed. I thought she would have been alot heavier than that - when I put her on the CHN's scales on Thursday she was just under 4kgs. With her huge gain last week, and being told to reduce top ups, I was worried she was gaining too much, but it looks like she is doing ok. I might go to the lactation consultant tomorrow and use their scales - and let them know the results of the blood tests - the have called me twice in the last few days, checking up on us!
Here is my teeny tiny girl in the car on Friday:

Bright eyed and bushy tailed - cuddles with Daddy:

I should add that I am typing this on my brand new laptop! My old laptop had been playing up for quite some time, and I desperately needed to upgrade - it died on Friday morning... it was a sad day. Then my darling husband said on Saturday that I could get a new one. I am one spoilt woman I tell ya! He also bought be a Nintendo Wii! And ordered a Wii Fit! Can't wait to get it! We also got Charlotte a portable DVD player for when we drive back home - 8 hours in the car is a long time for a little girl, so that should make it a little easier for her.
I really should get to bed - my little bubba will be waking in about 3 hours and 15 minutes LOL Their body clocks are amazing.
