Little Miss J is just the cutest! So in love with this little girl! She is still very smiley - I remember when Charlotte was a baby, we would have to be silly, make funny noises etc to get a smile out of her. Well, Jaida will just look at us and smile - listen to us talk and smile - her whole face lights up. Oh and when she gets excited, her arms flap around all crazy hehehe.
She is a real Mummy's girl, which is lovely, as Charlotte is more of a Daddy's girl!
Jaida can hold her own bottle, and has insisted on holding it, or atleast our fingers for a few weeks now - she still isn't at the stage of giving herself a bottle on her own - so we are enjoying these cuddles while we can!
She has started holding her arms out when you go to pick her up - so cute!
She is a real 'mover and shaker'! She loves getting down on the floor to move around and play with toys. She gets up on hands and knees and rocks back and forth. She spins around on her tummy so quick - look away for a second and she is facing another way! She scoots backwards most of the time. I think she is very close to crawling. All of this is very new to us! At this age Charlotte would just sit down and play with her toys - she did not like being on her tummy, and wasn't real fussed on getting around the floor at all. Jaida's favourite toys are - a plastic bath book, fabric books, teething rings and puzzle pieces!!! If she spots a puzzle on the floor - she is off - reaching out - grabs a piece and starts chomping LOL. (oh, I'm not talking about those 1000 piece puzzles LOL large chunky pieces!)
I think I mentioned she is rolling both ways? Often when I put her to bed, I hear her whingeing soon after, and she has rolled over and scooted around the cot, spun around and is rocking on hands and knees LOL. I am usually greeted with a cheeky smile!
Jaida still isn't really sitting - she can sit - quite well, but all of a sudden she pushes off her feet and goes backwards, or sideways, or spots a toy and goes forward.
We have a pretty good routine going. She probably wakes in the early hours, once a fortnight on average I guess? Last night she woke at 2am and she had lost her dummy - dummy back in and that was it. Other times she will wake around 6 and I give her a bottle - straight back to bed ok. Our day basically goes like this:
8-9.00am - Up for the day.
9-9.30am - 240ml bottle
10.30-11am - Into cot for a sleep.
12-12.30pm - Up and has a 180ml bottle.
1.30-2pm - Into cot for a sleep. Charlotte also goes to bed.
3.30pm - Both girls wake up. 180ml bottle.
5-5.30pm - Into cot for a sleep.
6.30-7pm - Up and has a 180ml bottle.
9-9.30pm - Bath, 240ml bottle, into cot.
So thats about it! She almost always leaves some formula - like tonight - the 7pm 180ml bottle, she left 100ml! The 240ml bedtime bottle, she left 70ml. But you get the odd time where she drains the bottle and wants more!?! Formula is SO expensive - looking forward to 12 months and cows milk! LOL
Won't be long and we will be starting solids! Urghhh not looking forward to that LOL.
Charlotte and Jaida are starting to interact more now - it is so cute to watch. Jaida will reach out and grab Charlotte and I say "Jaida will GET you!" and Miss C thinks it is hilarious! Charlotte is always giving Jaida toys, or her dummy, or cleaning her up.
Charlotte and Jaida look very different, have very different personalities, and have reached their milestones at different times. Before Jaida was born, I wondered whether they will be similar, or totally different.
Anyway - better finish there. :)
